Testing Procedures:

Preparation:

Ensure all components are at room temperature (15-30°C/59-86°F).

Donors should avoid eating, drinking, or using tobacco products for at least 10 minutes before the test.

Specimen Collection:

Use only the provided collector. The donor should sweep the inside of their mouth several times with the swab, holding it in place until the saturation indicator appears.

Important: Do not bite, suck, or chew on the sponge.

Test Execution:

If the indicator doesn’t show after 7 minutes, proceed with the test.

Insert the swab into the device until it locks in place. Place the device upright on a flat surface, and read the results at 10 minutes.

Reading Results

Negative

A negative result is indicated by the presence of the lover “Test” or “T” Line of each designated drug. The presence of even a very light “Test” or “T”. Line indicates a negative result.

Positive

A positive result is indicated by the absence of the lower “Test” or “T” Line for a specific drug. Wait 5 minutes to determine a positive result.

Invalid

An invalid result is indicated by the absence of the upper “Control” or “C” Line and the lower “Test” or “T” Line for a specific drug. If this occurs run a second test.

Saliva Alcohol Chart

Important: Donors should not place anything (including food, drink, gum, or tobacco products) in their mouth for at lease 10 minutes prior to the procedure. Do not bite, suck, or chew on the sponge. Refrain from talking while collection swab is in the mouth.

NOTE: If after 7 minutes, color on the saturation indicator has not appeared in the indicator window, proceed with the test. Once the collection swab locks in place, the device is airtight, tamper evident, and ready to be disposed or sent to lab for confirmation (on presumptive positive result).
